Left my visa and my cellphone in Mumbai along with my Heart.

rain 30 °C

So we show up at his friends place and we just have a chilled out night, when next thing you know we're walking along the ocean prominade accompanied by lots of rats and the morning dew.

Today we went back to Sheish's friends house and all laid out somewhere on the floor where we could find space in the small 1 bdr appartment.
Although when I woke up I had noticed there was another body around then when i had gone to sleep so i was a little confused...

I asked Sam (Sheish's friend who lived there) Oh is he in school with you guys?
Sam gives me a wtf look and says "no hes 25!"
"so im sure ill be 25 when im in school"
"nono he comes from a poor family"
"theres like bursaries and stuff?"
Sam still with a stunned face i ask "so is he your roomate?"
Then apparently im funyn because sam cant stop laughing, but when he finally does he says "no hes our servent'
Now its my turn to laugh!
A servent for a 1 bdr and 2 students! omg how lazy could they be! honestly imagine that in Canada! hahaha my parents get mad at me if i cant wash my dishes let alone the dont even have to touch their dishes, laundry, or a cleaning utensil!
Annnd they said their excuse was they dont have time to do it... well you could be doing it right now i say! haha
But i get it explained to me that EVERYONE has a servent. It doesnt even mean you have money if you have a servent here...

So after being awkward as heck I finally let him make me some chai and it was freaking good!

Now what to do today...
Wellllll casino man from the other night offers me a day at the races!?
How could i not go hanging out with the rich of the rich and free wine with AC!
also i made 200$!!! wahoo off of not my money haha even better!

After the races I headed back to Sheish's friends house and we had some preegaming and then we headed out to one of the best clubs in Mumbai! And man did I look good in the new dress I got!
AHHH IT FEELS SO GOOD TO WEAR NICE CLOTHIGN AGAIN
haha i miss home big time!

Although the night kind of sucked considering some of Sheish's friends didnt get in and I barely saw him all night :(
Back at around 6 again I had to wake up soon and goto Pune... Which turns out i was about to go and was too sad i wasnt with Sheish and turned the heck around. Wow this sucks! liking someone half way across the world. And screwing up my Chakras before I go home! (aka i was all chilled out and super clear minded and such from this AMAZING trip and now im all screwed and anexious again! Look what people can do to you its nuts!)
So the day was lazy and the food was made by the servent all day and laying in the AC.

Then what do you know... Its my last night in Mumbai I need a glass of freaking wine and some GOOD food. So thats what I got! Unfortunantly it was negative Sheish :( but it was positive a new friend!! (as always!) and it was also positive nicest house in freaking mumbai!!

So let me teach you a new word here
Bungalow
Bungalow in Canada means: 1 story small house
Bungalow in India means: multiple story apartment, usually with a rooftop pool and sauna. AKA AMAZING

Holy Indian cow this place was AMAZING. It was the top 3 stories and on top of all that was a rooftop pool overlooking the Arabian sea and the city. WOW.
So now its about 4 in the morning and i had to goto the airport to figure some stuff out and whatever aka I was too tierd and too fet up with this. I head back to Sheish's friends place and they arnt even there!! so the guy's roomate and I try to play some SIMS hahaha unfortunantly it didnt work...
And they all finally return ive got about 1h before i need to leave, its pouring rain outside, and sheish is mad i didnt show up...
Well we wont go into detials about that.

But being sleep deprived for the past week and not having gone to bed tonight why not stay up 1 more hour and then goto the airport!?
Okay so that was the plan I say my goodbyes... get in the cab ... and BAM fall asleep....
So the taxi driver wakes me up abruptly when i get to the airport and what do u know next thing im in the airport line and realise ive left my phone in the cab...

Now there goes
my visa
my phone
AND
my heart
:(

A McAloo and a crikit bat later...

all seasons in one day 30 °C

So where I left off i guess...
Oh yeah MCDONALDS! woo! haha I got a McAloo burger (pretty much this weird spiceyish thing they serve for veggies here! i cant even eat anything but fris at home so this was exciting!!) and some fris with an awesome sundae! haha wow did i need that. Okay next I was off for some more shopping and an hour later finding notthing i had some coffee and of course theres a weirdo checking me out. Harmless yes but its India this ALWAYS happens!
So after he gives me a pretend wave i head up stairs for some more shopping and magically... after ive gone up 5 flights of stairs, decide not to buy a bunch of Evian. I turn around and POOF! hes standing there and says 'so i guess i should join you'
Join me!? are you serious??? oh god so we talk a bit and he was actually moving to canada in a few months for work and blah blah blah he asks me if I want some dinner. (I just ate buttt if theres a Rolls Royce involved and some NOT Indian wine I guess I can make an exception?)
Like a 5 second cab ride later we stop at a road side place for some Kulfie (a homemade ice creamish thing they have here which is awesome!) and this is the moment I realise it would have been way better on my own... Considering pulling conversation out of my butt because my company is lameo and the kulfie was only a few rupees please make this end! haha
We took a seat on the Choppatty Beach which was nice but really I was going crazy that my friend Sheish (from the kareoke night) isn't messaging me. We were suppose to have a movie date!!
9:50 comes around and no sign and im tierd and now sandy and POed so see you later Lameo im going to bed.

And thats where i headed and then got a call at 1015ish which i didnt even pick up because i was sleeping. Call from Sheish which apparently wasnt happening that night...
Oh and this was all after the cab driver asked me if i liked sex and wanted to drive me around for free for a whille!
Great.... little did i know a slap and no paying would have done him some right but being Canadian... our first insinct is NOT to hit someone!

Okay next day Im a little lost at what to do considering ive seen pretty much all the tourist attractions, im confused why Sheish wont txt me back and maybe I should ration a little money considering I missplaced my visa card at the club the other night...
So what to do... what else do you do in mumbai? SPEND MONEY
okay i didnt even spend much but there was a sale at Mango (OMG A REAL WESTRN SHOP) and I found the thieves market which was cool but Nadia PUT DOWN THE ANTIQUES you have enough stuff you dont know how you're going to get home!
Also I scored a crikit bat and a football for the kids at home!

Looking kind of stupid now carrying around a crikit bat I head back to my hotel for a little nap and waiting and waiting for Sheish to actually get back to me!
I HATE WAITING FOR PEOPLE
and I had an invite for dinner from the guy who owns the casino in kathmandu!
10 mins before hes suppose to take me out guess who actually calls!
Now when you make up a story that youre puking your gutts out and cancle a 5 star free dinner for a guy youve been waiting all day to call and doesnt call untill like 10 pm. I think that might be a little sign....
Nadia im sorry but i think you have at least a little crush on this Sheish guy...

And well now he says hes got a free place for me to stay with his friends who are a few students here. I guess staying with locals is too good of offer to pass up!

This walk is why im back in India - I honestly saw some of the most beautiful things ive seen my whole trip right here on this 10 minute walk...

  • First the muslium lady who was begging and just gave me the most heart warming smile. Its one u cant explain. - remeber how i talked before about the women of India. Here it was again in full swing. No "give me money""just a beautiful smile.
  • Second there were 5 leppar men all laying down in the pouring rain in a circle all chanting. "Allah Allah". It was bazaar, scary, and in so many ways so beautiful.
  • Third there was this little sleeping girl child in the pouring rain, wrapped in some plastic, and another little boy about the same age flipped her a rupee or 2 but it didnt make it in her dish, so he specifically ran back, made sure it got in her dish and then caught up with his family.
  • and Fourth, this man. This man in his full muslium costume going to the tomb to make rounds, pray and recite the Quaran. Although all I saw him do was watch me. Now it wasnt like any all those horney Indian boys who see us in the bollywood movies and imagine us getting frech with them, it was like a blank facination. Not frigtening or even flattering at all. Only calm and natural and I only noticed he was realyl somewhat fallowing me when I left walked all the way back and was waiting for titoo. There he was again like a ghost or somehting, watching me from under the fruit stand in the pouring rain.

I cant really describe it with good words right now sitting here with mango pickle smell and crikit blaring but this is why India.
These things are why! These little things are the things that brought me here and what I know will keep making me come back.

You know its actually funny. This whole travelling alone thing, you know what its making me really want to do?
Travell with my parents...
Of all people or of all things to do, its making me want to show them something. They've for all my life have shown me whatever they can and I feel like I really hope one day that I can show them something. Espechally something so freaking beautiful like Nepal or India.
Did you know my dad came here about a year ago... got overwhellmed and had to go home early.
I have a talent. Its travelling. And I hope to one day return to mumbai with my father (or explore a new place) and show him why this place is so amazing. Why I dont want to leave. And why everything that everyone has ever said to me (other then the few who said that I will love it) is so wronge about India and Nepal.
And well mom will show me why hiking would be fun in Nepal AFTER I show her the beauty of INSANE Kathmandu.

awe well im so sentimental now but I really should be off too the mall for some McDonalds and hopefully some Thalli later!!! wooo!

Im sending all my love and I will be home in 10 days!!! woooo!
